Regular readers will know all about the Wine Cellar Fishing and Golf Tournament held in the Turks and Caicos.
It is a wonderful annual event that engages most of the island. It has two days of fishing wrapped up with a party on the Saturday night and a good day of a golfing tournament on the Sunday.
There's great prize money with a portion of the money raised through entries, the Calcutta and fish auction going to local charities on the island.
Speaking with Desmond from the Wine Cellar, who organises the tournament, I really wanted to get us involved this year.
Desmond suggested that we sponsor the Largest Tuna catch over the two days, it comes with a Big Tuna Trophy and a $2,000 prize.
I caught the largest Mahi last year so I was super excited to be able to participate this way!
The event runs March 6th - 9th from Blue Haven Marina and Royal Turks, I'll be competing with team Kalypso against our rivals team Sundaze.
There's a weigh-in on the 7th & 8th at Blue Haven Marina from about 4pm which is a great part of the event - head on down!
